  • There is an inverse relationship between the ease of answerability and the number of people who answer, and in turn, rep the question. Quality is relative.
  • No. YOu can't say that a quality questions gains more points and answers and a bad question gains none OR that a simple stupid questions gains many answers and good answers. It can go either way. But I do think that questions that re simple to answer and don't require much typing for people, things that just pop into their head when they read the question, THOSE get the most answers. But even those, if people are feeling lazy, they won't answer once they see it has 12-15 answers. They keep saying points don't matter but if that were true, then why not add an answer?
  • I will not say it is bad questions that receive the most points. I do believe that it is the simpler more conversational questions that grab the attention. Factual questions that take time to research rarely gain many points or gain a lot of interest. People tend to answer those that take less time and can be answered off the top off the head with a lot more alacrity than the deeper more thought provoking questions.
