Help answer this question below.

On startup I get a bright blue pixelated screen, and it stays like this until it's shut down. I can barely see anything on my screen. But if I leave my computer off for a while it seems to resolve itself. What's wrong?

i would say replace the moniter, a computer in school had something similar happen to it and all it was was the screen.

There is a good chance that your video card may be defective. It could also be the cable connection from your monitor to your video card. My suggestion is to replace the video card.
