I think if it's not on one of those big floating cities, it mught be okay. I like smaller boats or at least less people on board ship. I might be interested in those adventure cruises or exploration where you work with scientist and researchers.

It's not really my thing. I don't like going on vacation with hundreds of other people. I like it more quiet and personal. I'd rather rent a sailboat or a canal boat and cruise around just with family. A canal boat Cruising up a canal or river in the south of France where I get to pick where to stop and when sounds like more fun to me. Or my own sailboat sailing up the inside passage to Alaska just seems like heaven:-)

Great if you want to relax or gamble, or dance, or play or eat or look at water.
Just skip the land tours when in port.

Absolutely LOVE IT! My husband and I have been on 3 cruises in 5 years, my son (14) has been on 2, and my two step-children on 1. All with Royal Caribbean, and three sizes of ships. It is a great way to travel to new areas and explore different cultures. We enjoy going to warm places since we live in Pa. Have been to Belize, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas, and Key West. Love them all .. and hopefully, my husband will give me another cruise next year for my 40th birthday! I want to go back to Belize and different parts of Mexico.

I love cruising. I do it all of the time at night. Its a great way to treat your mind to a nice journey through dark vacant roads, good tunes and infrequent stop lights.

    How can you go wrong?

Someone else, drives, cleans, cooks, entertains, makes decisions, waits on you, etc, etc etc.

I have done almost 50 cruises and can't get enough, In fact, I'm cruising next week.

It's never appealed to me. When I travel I prefer to get off the beaten path and try to experience some local cultures. Kinda hard to do when you have a few hours at a port where the whole town is dedicated to tourists. Also I don't like being told were to go when to be back I'm sure I would eventually get lost at some local bar and miss the boat then I would be screwed.

I love it. I went on my first cruise last summer. My friend and I took a Mediterranean cruise on Royal Caribbean. It was fantastic. We left from Barcelona then went to Nice, Rome, Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, Mallorca and Malta. Soooo much fun. I'd do it again.

We just came back from Alaska on the Celebrity MILLENNIUM a few weeks ago. What a great time we had. It's so nice to unpack once, and wake up in a different part of the world every morning! And so hard to come back to reality...

The wife and I love it! we have done 5 already. Where else can you enjoy fine dining, great entertainment, going to the movies, jogging, etc, etc, within walking distance w/o worrying about catching a taxi ALL just within a few steps from your cabin. Try it...you'll like it!!

If you got the time and the money then it is a fantastic way to travel and have fun at the same time.
I'd go if I could afford to.
