I'm not sure if this helps you but I have a few ideas you might try. I believe in CA a residential care home for the elderly goes under the umbrella of the name A Board and Care facility, I have dealt with Board and cares for years while living there, they were mainly all psych facilities, there is a website that may help www.aplaceformom.com and the websites on eldercare.
