Help answer this question below.
The best thing that I can advice is to call the Laptop Manufacturer for Tech Support.
Tech Support may replaced part/parts(ex. Motherboard).
You can try the ff:
1. Disconnect all External Components
- Completely power down the system.
- Unplug everything from the front and back of the system except the power cord.
2. Remove Battery
3. Reseat the power cord into the wall outlet and the AC adapter.
- To reseat the power connections and allow time to drain any residual charge, perform the following steps:
- Disconnect the AC adapter from the system.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet that is known to be good and into the AC adapter.
4. Confirm the power cord is firmly connected to the AC power adapter.
5. Try to turn on the Computer
IF NOTHING HAPPEN, Replaced System Motherboard

Lightning struck near my house last night causing my accidentally plugged in laptop to spark at the place where it was plugged in. the laptop works but refuses to charge. Is this an internal problem or a problem with the power cord?
