    I think Villanova as an 8 seed upsetting Georgetown (w/ a coke-addled point guard no less)

    In 1985, Villanova was seeded 8th and they beat Georgetown 66-64 in the finals.

    1989: Michigan - #3 Southeast
    2003: Syracuse - #3 East

    Is everyone sure it was Villanova at the number 8 seed? Wasn't Kansas a double digit seed when they won the national championship at Kemper Arena in K.C., MO against Oklahoma in 1988?

    I am a big Villanova fan, and I am pretty sure that when they won it all in 1985, it was a field of 32.
