  • Yes, absolutely. BUT! Clip-on suspenders are horrid. You should be wearing braces. These are "suspenders" that attach to the waist area of a trouser on the inside with buttons. If you purchase a pair of braces, but your trousers do not have buttons on the inside, you may have a tailor attach some for a very small fee. Clip-on suspenders are only worn by construction workers or as a tool.
  • Braces, ie the button type refered to in the above answer, should technically be worn with a bespoke pair of suit trousers. ie, made just for you and with out belt loops. However, if you get a tailor to add buttons to the inside of the waistband, why not ask him to remove your belt loops at the same time. Hey presto, bespoke look at off the rack prices.
  • Yes! You can wear pants without or with belt loops pants. "Descent suspenders have leather parts on the ends to connect with the buttons on the inside of the waistband of the pants. Buckle loops are not needed and should be removed if you wear suspenders." (http://www.suitsociety.com/how-to-wear-suspenders/) But ofc, fashion is a thing you create, just try it!
