The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints treats Moses no differently than most of the rest of Christianity. In fact, they focus on Jesus Christ more than they do Moses. As followers of Jesus Christ, they consider themselves a branch of Christianity. Because of differences in doctrine with other Christian sects, some other Christians do not consider the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christian.

(cited letter). When confronted with false teachings of earlier prophets, Mormons usually respond by saying that even prophets make mistakes, no one is perfect. How can a Prophet make a mistake like that, and people be okay with what they are still teaching? The Jews are waiting for their Savior. When Jesus Christ came to the Earth, many of the Jews failed to recognize Jesus Christ as their Savior. That is why they leave an empty seat at their table during their celebration of the Passover, waiting for their Deliverer or Savior. . If you remember, Jesus Christ was born as a Jew, and is of the Tribe of Judah. We also learn from the scriptures that Jesus was the King of the Jews. Jesus is a descendent of David, and was thus entitled to reign as the King of the Jews. The Old Testament testifies of Jesus Christ and His coming. Since the Jews did not recognize Jesus Christ as their Prophet, Leader, and Savior they fell away from the truth. The Bible also testifies that when Jesus Christ comes in His Glory during the Second Coming, many of the Jews will then recognize Him as their Savior. The Book of Mormon also teaches us that when Jesus was on the Earth, the Gospel was preached to the Jews first, then the Gentiles. Jesus went to the Jews. The Apostles went to the Gentiles. Then, before the Second Coming of Jesus, the Gospel will be preached to the Gentiles first, then to the Jews. Jesus taught His followers of this concept through Parables in the New Testament. . The LDS Church believes that other religions contain parts of the truth, but reject other truths that are also important. If you remember, the Tribe of Judah is only one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, we believe we are also part of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Each LDS member can receive a Patriarchal Blessing which will let the member receiving the Blessing know to which Tribe of Israel he or she belongs. . The LDS Church believes in the Literal Gathering of Israel and believe this must take place before the Second Coming. You often hear of the Lost Ten Tribes. Anciently, the Kingdom of Judah was divided into two Kingdoms, the Ten Tribes in the North, and Judah and another Tribe (not sure which) in the South. About 600 BC, Babylon carried many of the Northern Kingdom into captivity. That is why we hear mostly of the Tribe of Judah and hear nothing of the other eleven Tribes. . The LDS Church still recognizes the Jews as members of the Tribe of Judah and members of the House of Israel. Many Jews have been converted to the LDS Church. I speculate that their Patriarchal Blessing will probably tell them that they are from the Tribe of Judah. I don't know for sure, because I have never met a person of Jewish descent that told me which Tribe of Israel their Patriarchal Blessing told them they belong to.
