well i do not honestly know of anywhere actually confirming it btw if you do not want to have a clue though this is not realy a spolier please do not read on....but there are plenty of hints if you watch or listen/read carefully about the parentagewell farther at least of Naruto was The hokage that used Naruto as a container for the nine tail fox, heck they even look similar etc from what others speak of through the series and well there are alot of other things but best to look foryourself to decide :3 hope that helps a bit ^^

It had been finalised! Masashi Kishimoto had confirmed in his manga that Naruto's dad is indeed the Fourth. Naruto's mom on the other hand is a former ex- Whirlpool county ninja. This fact is well documented in the conversation between the current Fifth and Jiraya. They had mentioned that the resemblance is undeniable. Besides what puzzles me was the fact that Naruto had his surname named after his mom's, Uzumaki, instead of his dad's, Namikaze. And also to hell with the past rumours that suggested the leader of Akasuki to be the Fourth. Now we know that the real leader is not the Fourth but rather Tobi (Interestingly he too possess the Sharingan, which increased the number of survivors of the Uchiha clan to three). The fake leader always seen sporting the Fourth's hairstyle turns out to be Pain, one of Jiraya's former student.

His dad was fighting nine fox tale and he used naruto to keep the fox inside... But his dad died doing that... Sucks... I always wonder what happend to Narutos mom.. This is old news, as everyone knows that naruto uzumaki's father was minato namikaze, the fourth hokage. Naruto shares his last name with his mother, kushina uzumaki, and this is due to the fact that minato never got the chance to raise him himself, and kushina raised him herself. Minato sacrificed his own life to save the leaf village, as he sealed the fox demon in his newborn son, naruto. He used the death reaper seal move to seal the kyuubi, and that jutsu requires the user's life. Since naruto was raised by widow kushina uzumaki, he took her name, though she probably died in one of the ninja wars, or maybe due to a illness, or she could have been assassinated, due to her marriage to the leaf's most powerful ninja, who had many enemies.

On the conversation of Tsunade and Jiraiya: Chapter 367 of the Naruto manga, by Masashi Kishimoto, titled "Itachi and Sasuke", confirmed the true identity of Naruto Uzumaki being a son of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Uzumaki, also known as The Flash, and mother to Kushina Uzumaki, female ninja from the whirlpool country. Naruto got his looks from his Father, and his attitude and ninjutsu style from his Mother, Tsunade and Jiraiya said. Who would have guessed that, well actually it was pretty obvious, Naruto and The Fourth's resemblance but still is quite of a suprise. =)
