Help answer this question below.
The explanation of Oswald’s motive for killing President Kennedy was buried with him -- I don’t think all the answers regarding this tragic episode in the American history will ever be answered -- We can continue to speculate about why John Fitzgerald Kennedy was killed, by whom, if it was actually Oswald, the lone gunman, and whatever it was that angered him so much that he was willing to risk everything to commit this horrific act.
I doubt if it was his bullet that killed the president, for the bullets came from two directions, and he was likely too far away to aim that accurately. He would have to have been one of the most highly trained marksman in history to aim that accurately ,which he was not .He was a good scapegoat though.
This essay summarizes it as follows:
"Lee Harvey Oswald’s failure as a man, a husband, a worker, a Marine and a son, began shortly after his birth. And Oswald’s embrace of communism, his strong belief in Castro and the Cuban revolution and a desire to be recognized as an important person provoked him to kill President Kennedy"
Of course this is a subject that requires more analysis than a simple paragraph.

You may or may not agree with that, but as far as my opinion goes, the latter link is one of the most comprehensive and analytical JFK assassination sites on the internet.
really, he didnt do it. he was set up...in the wrong place at the wrong time. some fed agent behind the hill shot him.
Blue smarties. Always blame the blue ones.
I don't think LHO killed JFK not alone anyways, like Lincoln, He was martyred for someone else's Political gains, to achieve someone else's religious and political goals , JFK KNEW what would happen in Dallas and He went anyways he had ample warning at least 3 weeks.
Muslims are not the only ones who play at Social Manipulations and always with the excuse of "Good Intentions"
the Pathway to Hell is paved with such sentiment through out your history, I just wish they would stop involving us in the insanity...

I don't believe Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK. He was a somewhat confused young man who was manipulated into becoming the "patsy" for the real killers.
Political motivations.
I believe that he was not the killer.
My 2 cents.
He was given an ultimatum, play scapegoat or suffer the consequences,he did what he was told and suffered the consequences anyway, loose lips sink governments.LBJ done it.
Insanity?
brainwashed
If you take out the word "he" and substitute "they", it actually works!
Conspiracy theorists.
1) He hated the lawfully elected Democratic President.
2) He had a gun he brought to a public forum.
Sound familiar?
Usually, a person who is motivated to kill someone exhibits some aspects of hate and hostility towards the victim. That might support an accusation of one's motives. None here, for Oswald. Remember, if he did this to get attention, or to rid the world of an evil, he had the chance to say "hooray for me!", having been arrested less than two hours after the crime. But he says he is a patsy, works in the Depository and has lived in Russia, so that's why they've arrested him. "I'm just a patsy", he said. And after killing Oswald, Ruby said (on film) that his motivations would not be known, that he needed to get out of Dallas to tell the truth to the Commission (ignored by Warren), and that very important people were involved.
Nobody has disproved either man.
only he knows the answer to this question.
lee harvey oswald was a patsy.....a scapegoat....he never fired a shot.....he was killed by Jack Ruby to silence him...............take care.....brian.....

You're reading What motivated Lee Harvey Oswald to kill President John F. Kennedy?
Comments
I have seen so much information on the Kennedy killing over the years it makes my head hurt. Your conclusion that the secret is buried with Oswald is probably the only clear answer.

Thank you scooter -- How are you?

I'm doing OK. I would complain, but it would only bring (me) down. LOL! Whats new with you, anything new happening for you over the big pond? I heard earlier today that a tidal surge was predicted for the Thames River, any info on that?
by Scooter on November 9th, 2007
The tidal surge just missed us, making its way down to Germany.

The answer McAdams folks call Oswald a loser. But was he? Barely 24 yrs old when shot, did he really fail at everything? Not mentioned in Wikipedia biography is this 'high schooldrop-out' got his GED in the Marines, passed boot camp at age 17,qualified as a radar operator, was tested in the Russian language and then "defected" to the USSR after a stint in Japan where he dated beautiful women at the Queen Bee Club, --and spy training was going on. Armed with "I hate the Marines" after a stint in the brig, which may have been rigged, he's in the USSR almost 3 yrs enjoying girlfriends, has lots of friends, marries a pretty girl, too. At the height of the Cold War,returns to the US at age 22 without problems, works several jobs-and his associates are CIA/FBI/Customs people. Marriage failing, but he has an adoring girlfriend, worships his little girl and brand-new baby. His whole life was ahead of him & he admired JFK! But as a former 'defector' he was the perfect 'patsy'--just as he said.

Those girls at the Queen Bee were apparantly the only communists he associated with outside of the USSR. They had been dating & were trying to milk info out of the U2 pilots. Contracting a STD was a mark against you in the Marines-but beside Oswald's was indicated "received in the line of duty"!
By the way Allen, I see you're new to AB-hope you enjoy it!

Oswald was and still is simply a useful fool. The people who killed JFK won't tell you who they are, but you have to know it wasn't just LHO alone. That's just too ridiculous to believe.
