The technology for such a device already exists, and has actually been around for quite some time. Several years ago, can't remember exactly when, a device was invented which targeted the wealthy tourist demographic. This device consisted of an eyepiece worn like a pair of glasses, and when the wearer would look at certain landmarks such as statues, buildings, or mountains, a description of that landmark would appear in the eyepiece. The United States military posses such a technology, and it is utilized in the cockpit of certain aircraft, such as attack helicopters. When the pilot of the helicopter looks in a certain direction, the gun and or radar on the nose of the copter will also point in such direction, allowing the pilot to fire upon whatever object he or she is looking at without entering data into a targeting radar, making the process of survey and attack much more natural and efficient.
