Oxy being? Oxycodone? Let be get this straight. She was taking 12 80 mg oxycodone a day and has, I assume over time, weened down to 1 80 mg oxycodone per day. Sounds to me that when she is ready she can put the pills away any time now. The hard part, weaning off has been done. Oxycodone addiction starts off because the patient has pain - they dose to treat the pain but sooner than later they build up a tolerance to the drug and end up taking more of the drug to get the same pain relief. It becomes a vicious cycle, more medication to treat the same amount of pain, more tolerance to the medication so they need to take more, developing over time a physical dependency on the drug. Ideally if she is suffering from chronic pain she needs to swap out pain medications over time. Like using oxycodone for a few months, then move on to darvocet for a few months, then use another pain medication - Of course other than drugs there are other forms of pain management therapies which must be considered and applied. 1 oxycodone a day is great - considering her history of 12 a day she has come a long way and this is no minor achievement. I will assume you are handling her dosing, meaning you only give her one a day to take whenever she pleases. Stick with that for a while, several months whatever she needs. Give her time to work through what ever it is she is working through. NA and AA http://nickscape.net/recoveryzone/ are good places to go for non-drug therapy programs of recovery they will provide her with a network of individuals (hopefully new friends) who will aide her through making it through the day without taking a pill. I can not stress that the hard part is done, she has been weaned from 12 to 1 - the last step is to stop altogther and that may be the hardest one for her and she may need support systems of a program to help her.

Firstly, you didn't say what you were detoxing from. Narcotics (Heroin, painkillers) withdrawal is not life threatening, but others like CNS depressants (alcohol) are. You should be under a physicians supervision while detoxing. I would recommend you go to a hospital.
