  • If it's open then the bacteria has already started so not too long, if its in a can or bottle I would still try it after 20 years :o)
  • It depends on if it is in cans or bottles, and on its sell by or use by date, best to drink it up quick just to be on the safe side, I'll help :-)
  • A few months. Not too long, though, or it starts to taste skunky.
  • Much longer than room temperature. It can stay over a year in the fridge. The flavor really starts to deteriorate at room temps above 70°F.
  • Over a year if it's kept at about 38°-40°F. They say for some Anheuser-Busch domestic brands the shelf life is only 110 days from the Born On date. But most beers will last a very long time unopened.
  • I've had some for over five years at room temperature and they were still good when opened. I'm sure kept in the refrigerator yours will just fine.
  • Refrigeration isn't important; keeping it out of the light is. Leinenkugels Bock keeps well over a year at room temperature.
  • It really depends on the type of beer in the can or bottle too. Typically if it is in a can, it won't last that long. If it is a bottled beer than it may be a style which can benefit from some aging. Many beers have higher alcohol contents and these can do well from letting them sit around for a year or so in your fridge.
  • It depends whether the beer is pasteurized and filtered or not. A live beer has a shelf life of up to a year or so. A pasteurized/filtered one such as most from major breweries should last much longer than that.
