  • I think it is rude and distasteful. He was a good man, yes a bit nutty, but he did great things for all animals.
  • The guy was an icon. He was something great and will truly be missed. But you gotta admit, we all saw this coming. He was so out there into nature, and cheating death time and time again, we all knew he would eventually get killed by an animal. That is the way greats go. It is also said that he had quite a sense of humor. I think he would be ok with it.
  • No respect for the departed. Makes me sad. No one should be harassed in death.
  • horrible
  • not fair on his family and def not funny
  • Hopefully his family is spared from seeing them.
  • i am neutral, satire is a part of life
  • I think that anything making fun of anyone's death is in particularly bad taste.
  • I think it's sick, rude and cruel !
  • VERY VERY VERY VERY ANGRY!!!!! He was a good guy who did nothing but try to help animals. So when I see stuff like that I get furious, especially since I am quite possibly his biggest fan.
  • Absolutely sickened and furious. To make fun of someone who is DEAD and/or the WAY they died omfg?!! There can't be anything more insensitive than that i.m.o. I remember seeing some comedian guy with a Halloween costume of Steve with the khaki shirt with blood on it and the stingray attached to the shirt, I mean WTF???? How crass and cruel and insensitive and heartless do you have to be to do something like that???? Even with Anna Nicole Smith, I don't care how much she was made fun of in life and ratted on because of being a gold digger, etc, I don't think it's fair for how people are talking about her now. In my case, I can't stand Paris Hilton but if she was killed tomorrow in a car accident or something I certainly wouldn't be going around laughing and saying 'the bitch is dead!' or something like that. Sorry for going on and on but in my view, there is no excuse or reason to make fun of someone who is dead, whether it was natural causes or accidental death, no matter if they were beloved in life or an ass in life. A life is a life, bottom line.
  • The callousness of some people is absolutely mindblowing. I find this very nasty and hurtful.
  • Making fun of anybody especially dead is PATHETIC!!!!!!
  • Not impressed - Steve was a great guy and got his point across well. Neither he nor his family deserve to have garbage put out there like that. No-one does.
  • Disgusted. Sickened. How could anyone make fun of someone's death?? Especially someone totally innocent and jovial and fun? I mean, I can see laughing at a particularly clever comic about Hitler's death, but, really, the line is drawn there. However, this was kind of cute: (Caption: "Somewhere in heaven, a very groggy, very confused angel has just woken up and is trying to figure out why a boisterous Australian man is poking it with a stick.")
  • I don't see the humor in it. If you want a good read though read the book by Terri Irwin titled Steve and Me. It really give you insight into the kind of guy he was. So sad. Left us far before his time.
  • Don't not read it for that reason. It was a happy sort of sad. The relationship he had with his wife and family was just amazing. If ever two people belonged together he and Terri did. Why not wait a while till the rawness wears off for you and read it then. LIke I say it will bring you a happy sadness, at least it did for me. I understand where you are coming from cuz when someone I admire dies I can't watch their movies, old TV shows etc. for a while either. I wouldn't say Steve was my hero exactly but I love animals too (altho not the reptilian kind - I'm into the furry kind) and I appreciate his love for them.
  • It's really mean and cruel to his family. The only time I was ok with it was the thing in South Park because it wasn't really offensive.
