CRIMINAL PROCEDURE. CHAPTER 13. BAIL. ARTICLE 4. EFFECT OF UNDERTAKING AND DISCHARGE OF BAIL.§15-13-62. Establishes that sureties may arrest a defendant on a certified copy of the undertaking at any place in the state, or may authorize another person to arrest him by an endorsement in writing on such copy.

The state have Alabama currently does not have any licensing requirements for "Bounty Hunters". You can confirm this with your local courthouse. However, since the skill set used in skiptracing is the same one as private investigating, many municipalities state that a person must purchase a private investigator business license. These are fairly inexpensive and easy to obtain. Additionally, if you ever have to cross state lines in pursuit of a skip, the states you enter may require such a license. Additionally, being in Mobile, it is reasonable to assume that you would cross into Florida after skips. Just FYI: Florida banned free lance Bounty Hunting a couple of years ago. If you are caught doing so, it is a 3rd degree felony. If you are conductung skiptracing investigations without a PI license, then the city/state can come back and fine you for operating a business without a license.
