Before I started the pill, my period was about 7 days and now it lasts about 4 days and is very light. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal for periods to become lighter and shorter once you begin taking the pill. It has also been known to lessen cramps and pre-menstrual symptoms... sounds good to me! Enjoy!
