This depends on whether or not your are referring to a legal justification or a moral one. Legally speaking, if a person did not know they were on drugs (and had no reason why they should have known), they did not commit a crime. As you should know, every crime (except statutory rape in most states) have a mens rea and an actus rea requirement. In this scenario, the mens rea is missing. Morally, if the risk of harm is greater in not driving then driving, then the person should drive.

no...never justifide....it is stupid...legally and morally....Driving while impaired for any reason is stupid...and dangerous to your health and others....If some one is hurt you call and ambulance....if both are drunk then you sleep in the car.... there is no good excuse for driving while impaired....

Maybe if it's life/death and no one else is available to drive.
