Try Central Texas. Specifically, Austin. Beautiful city, cool people, great food.

I live in Southeast Texas near Beaumont. I have been to San Antonio which I really like because it has more mountains. I really love Galveston and wish I could live there!

West Texas is best for me. Too many green trees give me a headache. Little vegetation is peaceful to look at. My allegery bills have gone down immensely to $0 cost per year. I can finally breathe without an inhaler. My energy bills are next to nothing compared with the rest of the country. Low humidity allows you to have swamp coolers instead of expensive refrigerated units in the summer. I visit East Texas now and then, but am always happy to return back home. Oh, mesquite trees are ok for my fireplace in winter.
