One can never be sure who is on the other side of the screen. Try to make friends at school, at the park etc. People use aliases and false identity to lure others so tread with caution. Try looking at the news and reading the newspapers sometimes, you may learn more about this.

I'd have to agree, there are loads of creeps in chat rooms pretending to be younger and even the opposite sex. Meet friends in real life, chats are more for awkward questions you'd ask anonymously XD

I've been a loner most of my life. However, even as shy as I was around women in high school. I was still able to overcome my shyness and lightly make friends with a very few people.In my junior year I started going to the Christian Club on campus and met some people there. I also went out for the crosscountry team & got real good at it and won State championship. Then I encountered new types of friends that I had not encountered before i.e. because your poplar now fair weather friends.One of those I met was an unbeliever male my age then was about 17.The unbelieveing friend & I would go out to places to have fun like the pier & eat donuts at winchels donuts. Then I met his sister & she was a lot more fun be with.One thing I never anticipated was that after the last day of high school graduation everyone of the few friends I met all took off for other places ,schools & jobs very far away or in other states.So I became very lonely again. Lesson is to hang on and keep contact with what few if any friends you have before high school graduation. Otherwise, you could be back where you started. You'll be surprised how much High School graduation can scatter all your friends and family across the country. Also, I think its better to be a Christian believer and meet a girl in the christian club. Than be an unbeliever and meet an unbelieving girl in a bar. Hope this helps
