  • I don't know but my brother is in the Army and seems to make pretty good money...
  • well i am in the national guard and they pay preety dam good and the pay for college 100% and you also get payed to go to college and you get up to a 20,000 sign on bonus for 6years
  • Th united states air Force pay it piolet more than any other rank in their feild
  • By norm in most countries is the air force!
  • Air force in my opinion.
  • It is the same across the board for all branches of the military. The Airforce has older but nicer lodging, the Army has larger and better stocked PX's, the Navy has much better control over dependents appointments with doctors (way easier to get one). Pay rates are the same, there are bonuses for differing MOS and for dependents, housing, uniform allowance. DON'T check with recruiters, they will basically tell you anything that sounds good to get you to sign up. Call a chaplain and find out from them what you want to know.
  • Every branch of the military pays the same for basic pay at equivalent rank. Where things get jumbled is bonuses and special pays. Pilots get incentives in every branch. Doctors get several types of professional pays and bonuses. Different specialties of Enlisted personnel can qualify for bonuses too. In the Navy, the saying is choose your rate, choose your fate. You have to consider not only bonuses offered, but your odds of promotion as well. There are jobs that people can advance pretty quickly, due to scarcity of qualified folks, and there are jobs with very low promotion rates. This is the same in all services.
  • The pay is the same. What really makes a difference is what do you want to do, and what do you prioritize? The Air Force is generally recognized as being the military leader in quality of life and morale programs. Their advancements can be slower though. The Army outside of wartime deployments can be a pretty easy life. The big question really, is what do you want to do? Do you see yourself wearing body armor carrying a rifle, or turning a wrench in a hangar? If you pick a job you're going to be doing for 4 years based on pay alone, you're less likely to do something you will enjoy.
  • base pay is all the same. incentives such as jump pay and flight pay are where your differences occur. things may have changed since i was in, but i doubt they have much. flight pay is more than jump pay. so, you get paid more to stay in the plane than to jump out of it ;) so, the air force pays more than the army. couldn't tell you about the others. hazard or combat pay is the same for all branches.
  • all same.. basic pay grade.. depends on the job (hazard pay, location--BAC--, etc).. though the benefits of AF are amazing...though.. if you're in college.. i'd go Army National Guard.. pay for SO MUCH!!! <3
  • For base pay and across the board benefits, they're all the same. The extra money comes with combat or flying positions. Also, Deploying and temporary dutys (TDY's) where you travel bring in extra money depending on where you go and for how long.
