Help answer this question below.

Do you need a tourist visa to fly to cancun from US? I have a passport from another country and a US Permanent Resident Card.

    The requirement to have a passport is NOT a requirement of Mexican law it is a requirement of AMERICAN law. You must have a passport to FLY from the US to any other country.

    Assuming that you are American, you do not need a visa.
