  • I'm assuming you are refering to the spiritual abode where Almighty God resides. I say this because the Bible's use of the word heaven can poetically refer to our atmosphere as seen by these verses: Genesis 27:28 and Deuteronomy 4:17. So, we don't know where heaven is exactly. It's invisible. Isaiah 57:15 gives us an idea as to heaven being up or high. The way to heaven involves more than just faith in Christ’s ransom sacrifice and works of faith in obedience to God’s instructions. The inspired writings of the apostles and disciples show that there must also be a calling and choosing of one by God through his Son. (2Timothy 1:9, 10; Matthew 22:14; 1Peter 2:9) This invitation involves a number of steps, or actions, taken to qualify such a one for the heavenly inheritance; many of such steps are taken by God, others by the one called. Among such steps, or actions, are the declaring righteous of the called Christian (Romans 3:23, 24, 28; 8:33, 34); bringing him forth (‘begetting him’) as a spiritual son (John 1:12, 13; 3:3-6; James 1:18); his being baptized into Christ’s death (Romans 6:3, 4; Phillipians 3:8-11); anointing him (2Corinthians 1:21; 1John 2:20, 27); sanctifying him (John 17:17). The called one must maintain integrity until death (2Timothy 2:11-13; Revelation 2:10), and after he has proved faithful in his calling and selection (Revelation 17:14), he is finally resurrected to spirit life.—John 6:39, 40; Romans 6:5; 1Corinthians 15:42-49;
  • The Bible speaks of three heavens: (1) the atmosphere surrounding earth, that is, the sky (Acts 1:9-11); (2) space, including our solar system and the observable stars and galaxies (Genesis 1:14-18; Psalm 8:3); and (3) the location of God's throne, from where He governs the entire universe, called "the third heaven" (2 Corinthians 12:2). Solomon said: "God is in heaven and you are on earth" (Ecclesiastes 5:2). Jews of that time did not have the scientific knowledge that we take for granted, so they did not think of the world in scientific terms or descriptions. Instead they attempted to conceptualize the world in terms of what they knew, and usually described it visually. So, when they conceived of the universe, they constructed a multi-layered world, sort of like a large onion composed of various layers with the physical world in which human beings lived at the center. These layers were called "firmament" or shamayim (heavens or sky) in the Old Testament or "heavens" in the New Testament era. There are many other non-Biblical books and writings that also describe these layers. The third heaven was beyond the sight of human beings. It was the dwelling place of God and his attendant heavenly beings whom he would send to protect Israel and the righteous. Theologians, therefore, generally hold that the heaven of the blessed is a special place with definite limits. Naturally, this place is held to exist, not within the earth, but, in accordance with the expressions of Scripture, without and beyond its limits. However, taking into account all religions and not just Christianity, Heaven is any place of complete bliss and delight and peace and is designated both as the happiness and the abode of just in the next life Getting there is a conscious act of attaining that bliss and peace in your present life. Uniformly, that means: Make good choices: Meaning in every action take into consideration the needs of the Greater Good and how your choices affect and benefit Humanity as a whole and not only fulfillment of our own selfish desires Know Thyself: Self-knowledge follows closely behind the knowledge of God, and self-knowledge for anyone means knowledge of sin. Constantly examine your character and proactively address and correct vices and self destructive behavior: (Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Greed and Sloth) and implement virtuous behaviors (Humility, Charity, Moderation, Chastity, Meekness, Generosity, and Zeal) Identify and Remain in Constant Contact with your Higher Power: Pray to God ( by any his various names), Meditate, Chant, Fellowship and Worship, Breath, Commune with Nature, Read Sacred Scriptures, Light Candles, Ring Bells– whatever it takes for you to get in and stay in touch with the Source of which we are all a part. Believe – Believe in a Heaven and Believe you will get there. Thought manifests into reality. What happens in your afterlife can be completely up to you. • Read Romans 10:9-10. You must be saved in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. People always seem to think that they can make it there by doing good deeds and behaving properly, but you can't. You can do all the good things in the world and still find your soul in hell. You must believe that Jesus christ is the son of God and that He died for your sins and that He was risen from the dead and then the bible says "you shall be saved." You must confess this belief with your mouth, that means that you must not be ashamed to say that you believe this and go to a good bible teaching church that believes the bible from beginning to end 100% without changing anything and when the pastor asks if anyone would like to accept Jesus into their heart as their lord and personal savior then you should walk down the aisle. This shows to other people in the audience that you are not ashamed of your belief. The bible says that if you are ashamed of God before man on earth then he will be ashamed of you before his father in heaven. Which just simply means that you shouldn't act like you are afraid to say that you believe in Jesus, you shouldn't act ashamed if people ask you about Jesus but you should be willing to tell them, if not then God will act like he does not know you on the day of judgment and he will tell you to depart from him, because he never knew you. I would never want God to say that to me, so I am proud to say that I believe in Jesus Christ, I will say it proudly and I don't care what people think, because when Jesus returns and comes back for the believers, I want to be caught up in the air to meet him, I'm not staying here!! I hope that this has helped anyone that reads this, and IT IS RIGHT TO BELIEVE IN JESUS THE CHRIST, Don't let nobody tell you different! Accept Jesus into your heart today before it's too late!!! God Bless everyone who reads this and even the people that don't. Amen!!
  • DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO SAYS WE CAN ONLY GET THERE BY BEING GOOD AND WORKING TO GET THERE! That is not biblical! To the person who asked this question******* I can tell you that there are many false teachers out there DO NOT listen to them listen to God! The bible is Gods word and he says that the way to heaven is by asking Jesus into your heart! Jesus died instead of us! He paid for our debt. Just like bying something in the store it has a debt, a price. Sin also has a price, it is called hell! God did not want anyone to go there so he gave his son to pay the price for sin. The bible says " For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (II Corinthians 5:21) He became sin for us, He took our place on that cross! What a Savior! What love! He did not only come to just die for our sin Jesus came to "seek and to save that which was lost" That is you if you have him not as Savior! There are ONLY three things we MUST do. 1. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)- Realize that your sin has seperated you from God! And that you are in danger of eternal hellfire. 2. Repent of your sins- This does NOT mean become a better person first! God says "come as you are" It means confess to God that you want to turn from your sin and turn to Him.(just as dirty as you are) 3. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to save you right now. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9) if you do this in prayer with a sincere heart you will be saved in an instant! You do not have to live a holy life even though God said " be ye holy for I am holy" that is a work of God after salvation! God will change you from the inside out. But first we need to get saved! You can say this prayer from your heart- Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner and that my sin has seperated me from you. I repent (or turn ) from my sin and confess that Jesus is Lord. I ask you right now to forgive me and save me and come into my life. I accept the gift of God through Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus amen! Friend if you did this then let me know and I can help you to know what to do next. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36) Max- I got my answers from the bible where did you get yours???? would it be fair to say then that a rapist can get away free because the judge was nice? No a good judge has to give justice! What you said has no point and is not biblical. The answer was intended for the person who asked the question and anyone how will put aside their own ideas and trust in what God says. If you do not like it then tell God!
  • It is where Jesus is and the only way to go there is to accept Him into your heart and life as your Lord and personal Saviour. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) I hope that this is helpful. -In the service of King Jesus. Thank you and God bless you!
  • Jump on a train to the clouds and it's four stops after Purgatory . You'll know you're there, it's the end of the line. Don't fall asleep and come all the way back !!!
  • That is impossible for anyone to answer on a Spriritual level since it is only in faith we are told. For each of us our idea of Heaven will be different, hopefully a consolation to our hearts and souls in times of need and trouble. I do know on an earthy level there is a Heaven and a Hell on the south coast of Turkey . I have visited both and have photographs somewhere on one of the computers.
  • Heaven is both a state and a place. It is where God is. To look at how to get there on the most simple level, we look at Jesus on the cross, and the thief who turned to him. Luke 23 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us! 40 But the other criminal rebuked him. Don't you fear God, he said, since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong. 42 Then he said, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. 43 Jesus answered him, I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise. From this we can see that Jesus has the power to grant entry into heaven. The basis is firstly (as we see with the thief), to acknowledge that Jesus is, indeed, Lord ("your kingdom"), to admit that Jesus' death was for us ("we are getting what our deeds deserve") and to ask for his forgiveness. When we do this, like the thief, we enter into the state of Heaven ie peace with God, forgiveness, being washed of all sin/unrighteousness/rebellion/disobedience/shortcomings Now the poor thief had no chance to act on his confession of faith. He not only entered into the state of Heaven, but also went to be with God and Jesus straightaway. For us who remain on earth for so many years, God has prepared good works for us to do, in thanks for forgiveness. These are the natural result of our being gradually changed into the likeness of Jesus. But one day, we will enter into the place of Heaven, into the face to face presence of God. This is a promise to all those who accept Jesus as Lord, and believe that God has raised Him from the dead.

  • Where it is, should not be a worry, because it’s most likely transport will be provided. As to how do we gain entry well here’s what the great Son of Man, as he liked calling himself, said according to Matthew 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” The Holy Qur’an (HQ) revealed to the great Son of Man’s cousin, puts it this way in HQ 64: 9, according to Mr Pickthall’s translation, “The day when He shall gather you unto the Day of Assembling, that will be a day of mutual disillusion. And whoso believeth in Allah and doeth right, He will remit from him his evil deeds and will bring him into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph.” BTW, for those not familiar, Allah, according to linguists, is a composite word like it’s (= it is). Allah is made up of Al (= the) and ilah (= god). When you combine them you drop the “i” and get Allah = The God. So Allah is universal, it is not specific to any religion or people it simply translates to The God and refers to the ultimate power, the originator, the creator of you, me and everyone and everything in nature that’s ever been or will be.
