    Why would anyone hate or strongly dislike her? I couldn't care less one way or the other. She doesn't affect my daily life.

    I'm not saying she is beautiful, because I think she is trashy, but she does have a unique look that makes her attractive to some. She is also the type of dirty party girl that doesn't use her head that some guys like.

    I do not think she is likeable to me simply because of her actions. However I do like one thing about her. Her confidence. The way she really couldnt care less if you like her or not. I think she looks like a deer though, like caught in the headlights or something.

    I'm not convinced that those in the general populus who "like" Paris Hilton actually like HER more than they dislike THEMSELVES; their life circumstances compared to what they perceive as hers. Ultimately people (the masses) don't even KNOW her. She does represent a certain lifestyle possibility that people dream of, hope for and/or strive towards. It's common for people in western culture to gravitate towards the physical trappings of external wealth rather than seeking and nurturing an internal equivalent of well being.

    No one should like her, the only reason shes so popular is because her sex tape got "accidentally" released, and shes is kinda hot....but she personally is a spoiled bitch, that thrives off of attention.

    Some people like her -- she won the 2005 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress for her role in "House Of Wax" -- she was the star of "1 Night In Paris". Her last scene in "House Of Wax" was perfect (I cheered). But I think its hard for many people to like Paris Hilton because its hard to get through a day without having to read about her in the paper, or people talking about her or the tv, or surfing the Internet and seeing another one of her products for sale. Many would ask for 1 Night Without Paris!! :)

    If you mean why do people take an interest in her activities?

    I'd suggest it is a form of vicarious thrill and gratification enhanced by the wealth and glamour.

    It helps that she has a distinctive look, a sense of humor and is willing to exploit her own celebrity status. Without shame.

    Watching her provides much the same thrill that folks get from identifying with soap opera characters. A cheap, harmless fun-trip.

    I think she has a certain amount of charisma. If you compare her to her sister Nicky, you can see what I mean. So, she is a morally loose tramp that doesn't wear panties and makes sex videos with infra-red cameras. She won't be the first or the last. Shame on her for the recent tipsy driving, when celebs start doing dangerous things because of their excess... watch out.

    I don't know her personally so I really can't like or dislike here but I don't think we have anything in common, like being nice to people, treating them with respect, a good fashion sense, enjoyable hobbies that don't involve shopping and nightclubbing, treating animals like animals, helping others.

    I dont have a problem with her. I think women should just like themselves and not hate on other chicks. I think people who severely hate her are the exact opposite of her or just have nothing better to do than gossip. Most women are gorgeous and they done even know it so they pick on other women.
