While I do believe there are supernatural forces that are beyond the comprehension of the average human mind, there are other phenomena that are reasonably explained. Ouija boards are in that category. The planchettes (those triangular gadgets that you use to spell out letters or answers on the board) are somehow controlled by the conscious mind. This is not to say that a person deliberately moves them, but if one concentrates long enough, there will be a sudden surge of movement that propels the planchette toward the answer the participant is seeking. Try it and see for yourself. "Ask" the board if so-and-so really loves you, or any other question that you feel you already know the answer to, and it will, in all probability, give you the correct response. By the same token, you can also spell out names. Sometimes a little common sense will tell you that an inanimate object, such as a Ouija board, can't possibly be an oracle that comes up with an answer. It is the operator of the board who consciously, but without realizing it, gives the answers. If nothing else, Ouija boards make for an interesting parlor game, but beyond that, have no special occult powers. The same can be said for crystal balls, magic wands, good-luck charms, voodoo dolls, or any other such fetishes.

The Ouiji board never really worked for me- but when someone concentrates on something so much(like a spirit talking to them) they may find themselves unconsciously moving the triangle thing. Rest assured that I don't think any spirit would cross back over the viel to play games.

The Ouija board is a psychotronic device. Scientists will tell you that it's 'only' the mind operating it. They don't accept the reality that the mind has far more power than we usually use. Yes, the board is just cardboard and plastic, but it helps prepare and focus the mind to allow an actual portal to be created in local hyperspace. And ANYTHING can come through that portal. Worse, once they are here, there is no guarantee that they will leave again unless you know a lot more than the game instructions tell.

The scientific community CLAIMS that using the Ouija is a device of mass hysteria etc ... UNTRUE !! They don't REALLY have an explanation; so they make one up , as usual ... +5

Psycho-kinetyc (or however it's spelled) effect. Pretty much like the placebo effect. You THINK it will move on its own, so you are the one who moves it without knowing so. Although it's just the scientific explanation. What's the actual reason? who knows?

The idiomotor effect.

people are very gullible

Your friends are moving it!!

Few people can correctly work a Ouija board. Period. You need to focus on nothing first of all so that you do not influence the board. You need to attune yourself to energy and trust that energy. It takes a certain breed.
