  • Seeing as Ive never met someone from Iceland, I think I could believe someone who said it to me.
  • Is it same as Ireland?
  • You have to ask questions to know for sure. What the capital is? Have they eaten whale blubber? etc. I used to use this trick all the time when I was a bouncer and had a lot of youngsters using these fake IDs from different states. I had a little road atlas with me and then ask them where they were from. they would say they were from Boulder, CO. for example and then I'd ask what highway ran through their town, etc. They always made big fools of themselves, plus their ID's were not state issue which made it doubley embarrassing for them once I confiscated their ID's as well. When they argued I always said, "we can call the police to settle this if you like."
  • After I ask them 10 pertinent questions that any Icelander would probably know and 3 trick questions, I will believe them if they get a 90% or higher score.
  • No wit has 299,000 people
  • Not any more! This was a loaded question.
  • Cool ;)
  • Sure, like someone would lie about that. Unless you want to look at their passport and gather some DNA, trust works for me.
  • yes... becouse im icelandic.. and we also have computers and internet... but i was surprized when my grandmother got internet.. that was weird
  • Same here. I'm from there. A question you can ask to make sure they're from there, is to ask what sport is big in Iceland. If they say hockey, they're wrong, because soccer is huge and handball as well, but we suck in hockey. Try that question, usually works. For me, I just start talking to people who claim they're from Iceland, and the look on their face when they can't answer me, hahaha.
  • Well I'm from Malta and there's only 400,000 people here.
  • Wow! What a tiny little nation! I hope no tidal wave hits you! God knows what all the challenges would face such a small republic. You must get faced by a wobbliness of circumstances.
  • I have no reason not to. I went to school with a girl from Iceland.
  • I thought Iceland was some sort of national research project, in another words a huge artificial inflated piece of ice. Huh.
  • I only believe about 300,000 people who say that. I suspect the rest are pulling my leg.
