A man was accused of child molesting, then 15 years later was convicted of burglary. Does the court have the right to make him register as a sex offender?

    Its depends on the nature of the crime and severity. Most countries have statues of limitation, which restricts judge from accessing the past, makes it much harder to make him registered as a sex offender. In USA, the statues of limitation is 3 years. You can't charge a person if the crime occured after 3 years, since its worthless to get evidences to support the case. Since a man is accused of child molesting, but convicted of burglary 15 years later, judge can't make him to registered as a sex offender, since he molested a child 15 years ago. So, its depends on the nature of the crime and severity.
