What is remote viewing, and how would I be able to do it?

trawling throuh the unaswered questions, thought I'd take a pop. Remote viewing is the term used for the ability to view situations (objects, rooms and so on) without actually bning there in person. Apparently there was a lot of research performed by the US military in WW2 in order to recruit people who could see into Nazi HQs and read secret plans and documents. Whether they were successful or not is probably a closely guarded secret. Of course, it may simply be the term used for watching television without getting up off the couch.

I once did an experiment and it worked for me. I picked an address of a house in a part of the city that I had never been to. Then I sat and got into a meditative state. I imagined my body floating through the roof and flying over the city to where the address was.I looked at the details of the house and yard.The next day I went and looked and the house and yard were as how I saw them,in my mind.
