This dose would be on the order of 100,000ug to 300,000ug of LSD, depending on the size of the tab - 300ug used to be fairly standard, but some dealers / manufacturers would water it down to 100ug. This is a ludicrous amount of the drug that has never been tested on any human or animal (equivalent dose). For those who believe that hallucinogenics should be taken in a controlled environment to obtain the full benefit of the drug's effects, anything more than one or two tabs is excessive. A typical dose would last for three or four hours and the user would take a few hours to come down afterwards. People who used to 'acid rap' would drop five or ten hits at a time, perhaps consuming from 1,000ug to 3,000ug of LSD at one time. This could extend the period of the high and make it more intense, with a correspondingly longer period to come down. A trip could be made to last for an entire day. The larger the dose, however, the higher the risk of someone being injured while high. This is the main reason why friends would keep friends company while high. Consuming 1,000 tabs could easily result in someone's death. The hallucinating individual is disconnected from reality and can easily be harmed or do harm to themselves, without even knowing what is happening. LSD can be extremely risky if taken in the wrong circumstances or with the wrong people - and they abound. It would certainly be grossly irresponsible to consume such an amount of the drug and no one would ever contemplate taking any such dosage, particularly those who have taken LSD and developed a healthy respect for it. And, as one fellow I used to know put it, if you get someone high without their consent or knowledge (i.e., spiking a drink), you deserve to have an arm broken, at the very least. ------------------------------------------------------------ re: "38,500 doses needed for 50% mortality....ask Maddox" Maddox who? The motality rate of LSD in humans has never been established. Since no one has ever consumed anything approaching these levels, the mortality rate is moot. The risk of injury or death through behavioural actions happens at even small dosages. Please note that the question did not ask for the mortality rate.

1000 tabs man? your brain might overload or something i would think it would kill someone

I don't know for sure, but I'd say that you would just OD or your body would reject the amount and you would vomit and just be really trippy for a long time. 1000 pills might not even ever be digested. I'd say don't try it. I don't even think most dealers would have that much acid laying around. It would also cost you so much it would be pointless.

It would be an overload. I'd expect you'd just... die! But i think this is impossible!

I dread to think.

1000 LSD tabs would probably kill you. If you were to live from 1000 tabs, your brain would make a constant flow of chemcials and your trip would last for the rest of your life. When you take Acid, however, you cannot OD, but you would be stuck on your trip forever

I have taken a massive dose and felt the high for days unfortunately I didn't realise I was still feeling the effects but it impacts your reaction to stress making you more fearful, impares your social ability & affects your vision. Most importantly it makes you feel generally awful

Death most likely, the only reported death caused by lsd was when a man injected 320'000 micrograms intravenously, thinking they were amphetamines. Since each dose is roughly 100-150ug, it would be around 100'000ug, which may kill :/ Otherwise, i assume an insanely long and intense trip :S
