Why did rehab become "cool" and a joke?

Because the cause for rehab became cool and a joke (to the users). It's pretty sad. But then again, I doubt many folks in rehab are laughing (about their addiction).

If a person goes into rehab thinking it is 'cool' and a joke, then they will come out of rehab thinking the same way. Many people see rehab as an insufficient way to 'cure' people from addictions... when truly, the only thing that will 'cure' these people are themselves!
