• I hope I don't offend any of my American friends out there, but I do find a lot of American entertainment to be silly and without real value. Do Americans really enjoy and value what they are fed each day on t.v. and in movies? That is sad I think. I do like the way they "present" and promote their shows, however. It's much more exciting than Canadian techniques which I find a bit boring. But I think American t.v. overdoes things a bit too. I do like their news type programs like 20/20 and Dateline.

• I'm not surprised, considering that his liberal parents allow the kid to do anything he wants in the neighbourhood (and at all hours) without thinking of the consequences. Even now I still feel like 'twisting' one of the boy's jutting ears (heh, heh) for kicking me in the balls.

• You're right Tom47. But mine was taken by my wife only 2, yes 2 hours before my balls nearly ended up stuck on the root of my mouth because a little freckled faced brat happened to "pop by" for a visit and challenged me to a fight. I mockingly grabbed the little redhaired twit, lifted my arm up to whack him, but he "snap kicked" me in the nuts before I had the chance! I couldn't breathe for a little while, and I cried in excruciating pain. It was like I was being tortured! I really thought I was going to lose my balls that evening. Ugh.

• Tom47, I think you are right. "Josh" is probably one of their direct descendents. He has a fiery personality and is hyperactive, and he was not afraid to "take me on" despite the fact he's only 4 and a half feet tall! His eyes glow with fire and he loves to grin and gnash his buckteeth. In a re-challenge a couple of weeks ago, I got my just revenge when I beat him in an arm-wrestle, but not before the boy kicked me in the shins under the table and left me a bit bruised. Then, that same day I pulled him up against me from behind and tried roughing up his red hair (ha, ha!), but the little guy reached down and, nonchalantly, tried to grab my nuts!

• Luckily Tom47, I escaped the little warrior's scrawny fingers, but just narrowly. Whew! He said he was going to "grab my balls and squeeze the HELL out of me!" (His exact words.) Egad, from the mouth of babes, I thought. When he was unsuccessful at that, he resorted to stomping on my size 9 shiny black men's dress shoed feet instead, with his size 3 Nikes, but again I thwarted his attack. I finally squeezed his skinny arms and he yelped for me to let him go. Heh, heh. But I like to use that photo above as my avatar because I now have a memento to make me veyr wary of small, feisty, redheaded boys. Tom47, they sort of scare the @#*% out me now. Seriously. I'm a bit afraid to touch "Josh" now.

• Don't hold it against me, but I am also a very direct descendent of that race. I was subjected to many civilising influences in my formative years, however. I made it into adulthood with no serious criminal record or too many scars. Just a few. I still have this ancient craving for battle of some kind. I am an avid football fan. Played it myself when young. And there is this compelling taste for a type of distilled beverage not easy to explain. It involves filtering through peatmoss, giving it a unique flavor and texture. I have been able to find no help for it. I just moderate myself as I was taught.

• And Mr.S.,..there is this other thing. There is a certain type of musical instrument, if it can be called musical, whose notes and tones, when combined with kettledrums, have a tendency to make me want to charge an enemy and bite his head off. It can be played in softer, more gentle tones, however, and is then rather calming. I am not sure if it is cultural or genetic. My whole race is rather an enigma. No-one has described it with much veracity or knowlege, though many have tried.

• Wow, thanks for telling me that. I suppose you must be related in some way to little "Josh" then. The boy loves to battle; he's a kid who seems to have very little fear of danger. Tom47, I'm the opposite---I'm quite a "chicken" and dislike taking risks. I have to admit Tom47, that little 9-year old boy is meaner and more resilient than I am, and I'm a 31-year old man! Pound for pound, the kid definitely has more "guts" and strength than me. Tom47, I hate to say this, but I think a lot of white boys can actually beat some of us Asian men in a fight. Especially wild white boys like Josh.

• lol! Well, perhaps you might get some enlightenment from watching a movie (on CD) called "Braveheart". If you have not already seen it, I recommend it for educational purposes. There is another good one called "Rob Roy". They both deal with noted characters of my ethnic history. I do not guarantee the accuracy of either film, but they are definitely based on historical fact.

• Thanks for the recommendations. I have never seen those films before. But I am quite serious when I said that I truly believe that there are many white boys out there, especially aged about 10 to 14, who can "take" many Asian men (like myself) on in a real fight. There is one case in Calgary a few years ago where a 13 year-old white boy single-handedly beat a 36 year-old Chinese man unconscious, because the man tried to "proposition" the young lad for sex. The case made headlines. No, I'm not kidding Tom47, there are a lot of wild, strong white boys who are crazy out there and can beat the %#@$ out of us Asian men. In a couple of more years Josh can probably 'pulverize' me. Don't you think so?

It's something that I have always kept to myself, but I didn't want to admit it to a white guy, until now! Geez. I'll be honest with you Tom47, when little Josh turns 13, I don't think I would be able to handle him in a no holds bar fight, I mean, if I was forced to fight the little bugger. • Well, couldn't say, Mr. It is hard to make generalities. I don't know "Josh" but I probably know many like him. It is great for kids to be able to protect themselves, but some need to be taught that there are "limits" to aggressiveness. It should only be used for self defense, or on the sports field. But, even there, rules are necessary.

(I still, however, would like to beat up that redheaded misfit if given the chance, for "kicking me in the balls", while he's "still" small and scrawny. Heh, heh.)
