Stubborn back acne is a problem (hereditary in many cases) that often requires a prescription and is also known as "bacne". Acne on the back is much more resistant to treatment than acne on the face and must be treated aggressively. Wash the affected area with an acne treating cleanser instead of plain soap. Consult a dermatologist for severe cases. For milder cases or the occasional breakout, treat spots with over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide lotion. Peels/masks can help unclog pores too. Since bacteria can exacerbate the condition, always wear clean bras and T-shirts when working out and put a clean towel down before lying on exercise machines or mats at the gym. Don't go straight into the steamroom after a workout—shower first to get rid of dirt/bacteria. Be certain to rinse affected area after using a hair conditioner (if applicable). The ingredients in conditioner tend to clog pores and leave residue on the face, back, and shoulder areas when rinsed from hair. NOTE: Benzoyl peroxide bleaches anything it comes into contact with, clothes, towels, sheets, etc. Be cautious when using it. Neutrogena makes a line of products to deal with bacne including a daily cleanser and lotion that contain the acne fighting agent salicyclic acid. They are mild, but effective. For the forehead, the rules regarding washing after conditioner use especially apply. Forhead acne can be treated the same way as facial acne. If you have bangs be careful not to let styling products get onto your face. Hairspray, for example, clogs pores and makes the problem worse. Keep you face "hands free" to keep bacteria from your hands from spreading to your face. Use homemade Lye soap (I add tea tree oil to mine when I make it). It does wonders for acne prone/oily skin and dandruff. Definitely clears up acne, and it softens skin.

I have been having to deal with acne ever since I was like in 5th grade, And im telling you that i have tried EVERYTHING! I mean EVERYTHING! Clearasil is tooooo drying, it leaves dry rough patches or makes the problem worse!! I tried Noxema, Neutrogena, all types of face masks (some do work a little), I have been useing panoxle, this acne cream thats in walgreens and oil of Olay face cloths for normal to oily skin that seemed to work, but recently I heard of everyone talking about and saying how good chickpea flour is, I also read it in a book about natural skin care. It has many names such as gram flour, garbanzo bean flour. You can get it at whole foods, so I went to whole foods and aslo I got Turmeric powder too, this is a spice, that you can also use for acne and it evens out your skin tone really well. Anyway, I got the flour and the turmeric powder, and i couldnt wait to get home and try it. WELL IT WORKED GREAT!!!!!!! My skin tone looks more even, and it dries the pimples up. all you do is mix the flour with some water to make a paste, or u can mix it with what you want that suits your skin type, like honey or olive oil or anything, but i used water, and added turmeric powder and put it on your face till it completely dries. its a lil hard to get off, but just rub gently till it comes off, its works so good, my face is so soft and pretty!!! I hope this works! have a nice day!!!

For those of us that have acne it can be an awful experience. If you are unable or unwilling to see a dermatologist or just can not afford to go to one, then the over-the counter remedy that I would recommend to you is using a product that is hypoallergenic and one that does not clog pores. The only thing that you can buy over the counter today that will accomplish this Cataphyll. Remember to keep the surface (your back) as dry as possible, wear absorbent clothing, and keep the area clean because it is bacteria that cause acne. Also, don’t pick at the acne because this will cause scarring.

-Drink 3/4 Gal water per day -Exercise for 45min-60min everyother day -Sleep for 7-9hrs -Shower using your hands, not a scrubber -Eat consitently (3 meals or 6 meals or whatever, just staying consistent reduces stress on your body) My acne isn't gone, but staying hydrated and nourished promotes healing and a more effective immune system, showering using your hands and rinsing completely off reduces irritability, sleep increases healing and immune system, and exercise pushes out the waste that isn't processed in urine. I use Old Spice 3x clean so since I completely rinse off and don't scrape off live skin, the deodorizers and scents don't irritate my skin. *Shower at night so that when you wake up, you have a thin layer of oil to protect your skin from the elements. *Also, it takes approximately 1.5-2days for the water to actually hydrate you so give it some time.

i am a big believer in tea tree oil! after i wash my face in the morning and night i always use it as an astringent. wet a cotton ball and put about two drops of tea tree oil on it. don't use straight tea tree oil, as it is too harsh! i have been frustrated with face and chest acne and gone the retin-a, etc route. i found that none of those were effective and i felt uncomfortable using chemicals on my face. i stopped using all of them and incorporated tea tree oil into my skin regiment. it is not 100% cleared up but totally improving! you can find pure tea tree oil at whole foods and/or trader joes. good luck!
