  • I would assume that, as with any category, the term "antique" indicates an item that is at least 100 years old. "Vintage" generally means it's from a different era, at least 25 years in the past. "Retro" is something new that looks like something from an earlier era; for instance, new bellbottom jeans. There's also "vintage-style" or "vintage-look" items which would be the same thing as "retro." Hope this helps!
  • Retro is anything that comes back in fashion after being out of style for a time. 80's retro recently came back in again. So that has different time lines. Vintage is anything after the 1950's Antique is usually 100+ years old. There were the Deco and Nouveau periods, that are and are not antique. Depends on who you ask. Clothing goes more by era and style than anything else. A nice flapper dress is Deco period. They don't usually call it an "antique."
  • nothing really, in my opinion. they basically mean the same thing just that retro and vintage sounds better.
