Help answer this question below.

I used 'cut and polish' with a polishing machine to remove a few scratches from my car but now the blue paint in these areas look silvery and shiny. I've tried wax but it didn't help. What else can I try?

    You have worn through the upper layer of finish. No fix except to have it repainted.

    Power buffers are a crap shoot on automotive paint.
    A job best left to the professional restoration people.
    You are probably going to have to do the whole car.
    Be careful, a power buffer can cut through your paint in seconds if you are not careful.
