In Winnipeg there was a bar called Wellington's that I used to go to, where they played darkwave all the time, especially Industrial, and we could go and make requests, and they always gave out sample CD's, which is how I learned about Industrial a lot. It was a dive lol, but it was a fun bar for the music. I admired it because they concentrated on making us hear music from bands that were just starting and all, it was a well of obscure and awesome music. And there were always rivetheads who goose stepped around the dance floor like a buncha Nazis, and the dancers in the middle always got in a fight with them. XD People went in there dressed like jet pilots or vampires, it was great. Eventually they closed the bar, and when it was reopened, it became your average lowlife wet t-shirt night bar where they played chromedome music, blargh. So then I went to the Die Maschine for a bit, but lost interest eventually. It was fun, but just not the same, and way too expensive for me. As far as this little town here goes, nowhere to go that plays any darkwave whatsoever. Just a bunch of pop bars you go to to buy PCP, get picked up and never be seen again or if you're a man, get in fist fights for no particular reason. Sucks.
