My female molly lies at the tank bottom; however, she still swims around, eats, and does not seem to have breathing problems. Could she be preparing to have babies?

  Can silver mollies, fish, have premature fry? My molly had 26 fry and they were so small that they started dying one by one. They are 8 left and are about 2 1/2 wks old but still are small. She had them same day I bought her.
