Hi! I do think that at times the owner and the dog would look alike because the dog (or the owner) might have absorbed some characteristics off of each other. And most of the time, the owner unconsciously picks a dog nearest his/her personality. I have witnessed big bulky men choose big muscled rottweillers and pitbulls, regular couples with jack russels, blond curly clients with their poodles, and sexy petite chinitas with shih tzus. Wouldn't it be weird but fun to find a big muscled guy owning a small chihuahua? However, it really depends on how you look at it.

Sometimes people buy pets that do look like them. But I don't believe that the looks change. By the way, what kind of dog do you have?

I dont think I look like my dog, but I had this so called friend who had a really pscyho little king charles spaniel, and he was vicious as anything, bit everyone except her, and towards then end of our friendship I discovered that she wasnt really unlike him. They both had kinda squished up faces...
