  • There are, although not as distinct as in the US or the UK. We can hear a big difference between South Australia/WEstern Australia and the East Coast States. There are slight differences in vocabulary and accent between Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane. There is also a "country" accent, with much more drawn out sounds, and with more archaic vocabulary. It is heard throughout the "inland" areas of Australia, where there is less influence from migrant groups (who came post WW2 and influenced the coastal accents)
  • I dont know for certain but it is my guess that there probably would be because of the indigenous natives and the English imports. Aus. Is also full of Asians as well so? Probably... Some if not subtle.
