    Well lets see.

You're a Judeo-Christian-Islamic person: it is a Pagan Holiday which hasn't been absorbed as a Judeo-Christian-Islamic Holiday. Tricky theological grounds there.

You're a Neo-Pagan/Wicca Person: You already know its a bad idea. On the night of Samhain (pronounced "sou-wen"), the "veil between the worlds" of the living and the dead gets a lot thinner, and your ancestors can come through the veil. Everyone has embarassing ancestors they would rather not have at their handfasting, so if you don't want the spirit of Great-Uncle Ronnie getting ectoplasm in the punch bowl and pinching the butts of the bridesmaids, you may want to pick another night.

You're an atheist: Practical considerations. Halloween is the night on which people play excessive practical jokes. Weddings are the days on which the best man and the groomsmen play excessive practical jokes on the bride and groom. You may not survive the combination.

EDIT: Joking aside, my ordained Wiccan priestess wife (who has performed quite a few handfastings) informs me that many Pagans do consider Samhain a very good day for weddings, as she puts it "because the growing cold weather brings everyone closer to the hearth, symbolizing strong family bonds for the handfasting couple." She hadn't considered the concept of the spirit of Great-Uncle Ronnie showing up and freaking out the flower girl, but says that generally this sort of thing doesn't happen.

Of course not. Its just another day. Should I ever get married again, my wedding will be on halloween...and everyone attending must be in costume. :-D

I've heard that it is, but most likely it is not.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't do it just in case. It doesn't sound like anything good can come from that.
