I disagree. Decoration is overdone these days. We're being constantly stimulated by too much stuff. I'm perfectly capable of remembering that Thanksgiving is coming up without animated turkey .gifs. Celebration is nice when it's sincere and simple. When overdone, it defeats the purpose.

I think it's a great idea. Some kind of generic coloration at the least. And you cannot please everyone. I doubt that Google loses people because they are 'offended' at their custom logos. Yahoo does it too on their front page. Programming wouldn't be difficult, just a bit time consuming. I vote YES!

I think in theory that's a great idea... however the truth is that many would be offended or feel left out. And I'm sure it would be really tough because this is an international website and there'd be oh so many holidays. :)

Like they don't have enough to do. They are still cleaning the eggnog out of the carpet in the main conference room and getting the trees for Arbor Day outside and planted.

We do have orange for Halloween already. I notice that Google and Youtube get festive. I agree that they should go the extra mile to spruce up the website. It would look nice and festive.
