That hasn't happened to me yet, thank goodness. I did misplace a card once and got a replacement.

Once. It was not actually because of computer hacking, but a thief employee that stole all the customers credit card information and sold it worldwide. We were never effected, just a precautionary measure.

never had to ...but they took my old one of me (I had it since 1984) and gave me a shiny new one ...with a brand new number....gggrrrr and now I have to get it out and look at the bloody numbers everytime I need to quote it ...lol

I've had a Visa with the same credit union for over 20 years. just within the last 3-4 years, I think, they had to reissue all their member's Visas because the accounts were compromised.

They havn't yet. I have only been with this bank for 5 years and its a small regional bank. It might be a good idea to re-issue occasionally just to keep them safe.

Once - right now. I activated my new card account today. I have no idea why they killed my old account - I didn't see any unusual activity on it; all the charges were charges I made myself. I don't understand. Oh well.

Twice one visa and one MasterCard but nothing was ever taken out...Also someone was using my name on my ebay account, I just had to change my password on that one...I'm glad that many sites are going to paypal for your purchases now...
