  • I've locked them into the boot (trunk) along with the shopping, but it wasn't running and neither was I.
  • Yes, I did do that once. I was in a hurry. Thank goodness we had an extra pair of car keys.
  • I lock the doors and leave the engine running to keep the AC on for my dog. I have an extra key though, just in case she won't open it for me when I get back.
  • Yep. Right outside the police station. I hadda break the back door window with a brick.
  • Yes, yes and yes...and counting. Although it hasn't happened in a few years it seems when I hit a crazy busy time in my life murphy sends me extra doses of his law.
  • Yes i did it about a month ago. Was a real pain. I was about to go to shops so i started my car ( SCENIC ) then was going to open gate to get out. But i accidently pressed button on keys which locked doors but i thought nothing of it. So i opened gates and when i went back to car the doors were all locked. I dont have a spare so i just thought of breaking window. So phoned glass company to come next day and replace the window i broke. But lucky for me when i hit window with hammer it never broke. When someone i spoke to suggested to me to find a small wooden wedge. I found a piece of wood that i cut into a wedge ( about 4" long by 1" thick ) I pulled out top of drivers door and eased in the wedge being careful not to damage or bend door. Which I had to cut up clothes horse for a long thin peice of sturdy metal. And as the car was still running i gently worked steel across door frame to front of door and finaly managed to lower it down to operat electric windows which worked very easy. Saved 149 quid for replacement window. I now keep 2 of these peices of wire one in car and one in house just incase.
  • Way too many times. It got so bad I took to keeping two car keys on me, in separate locations, so that I couldn't lock both of them in at the same time.
  • not since i got a car with a remote locking key - but yes in the past i have - and the moment you shut the car door, you realise HELP!!!
  • Yes! Too many times.
  • I did it in the family van while we were at the Grand Canyon 15 years ago!!! AC on and everything, we thought the van would overheat! The door locked automatically behind you, I had no idea!! :( I had broken my leg earlier that summer and I decided to stay inside the van at one particular stop we made around the canyon because I was tired of the crutches that day. But they were taking forever so I got myself out of this van using my one leg and crutches and I was only 13 so I wasnt even aware of automatic locks! I was so busy trying to lift myself out and on to my feet that I didnt even think about it and here comes my dad yelling.... DONT SHUT THAT DOOR!!!! slam! too late..... LOL
  • yes about more that 2 times in the same spot which is outside my house! hahaha i always got used to locking the door if i go out of my car... those moments are when i go out to open the gate only to find out that the gate is ready but my car isn't hahaha thats why i decided to hide a wire that can open the lock, old fashion way! ^^ i bet not a lot of you can open your cars that way!
