  • I don't think any type of tumors are safe. She saying she doesn't want a surgery because she scared. I guess it could turn malignant,I don't know,I've have never heard of a benign tumor. She should have it remove before it gets worse.
  • I'm no expert, but I have a little experience here. I have a good friend who had a benign uterine tumor that continued to grow. she had a partial hysterectomy, and has been fine since (this was about 23-24 years ago). I don't know that it would have become cancerous, but it kept growing. and, surely that would have caused other problems. personally, I was found to have an ovarian tumor 2 1/2 years ago that turned out to be benign, but it was also discovered that I had endometriosis (sorry about spelling) as well. again, not cancer (although it runs in my family, so I could have gone that way), but would probably continued to grow and cause other problems. I also had a partial hysterectomy. better safe than sorry. if it's benign, I don't see how it could hurt. does she have a fear of surgery?
  • sorry to hear whats happened ...I'm not a doc but I have had 2 lots of cancer taken out one nasty the other benign, if its out it CAN NOT turn nasty in anyway if its left in it can at anytime turn nasty ...1,2,3,10years or more it can still turn if its left in... now if it was me I would rather it out then I wouldn't have to go through having check ups every year and wondering if it had started to go bad and trust me ..she will ..year after year after year so explain it to her it is really better out than in ...they even do it by 'keyhole' now days, I hope she will see sense and do the right thing for her self because thats who its for in the end ...herself :)
