  • I heard somewhere that skipping is one of the best aerobic workouts you can do. And I can believe that, it takes a lot out of you. If you can afford a skipping rope, you can probably do that in your living room.
  • If your knees can handle it, jumping rope is outstanding for cardio work and not a big investment.
  • Get an exercise video with cardio. There's tons out there.
  • you could try something new like yoga.. or lie on your back, hands in close guard position. Raise your back and legs and pretend to cycle. As one knee comes up, twist your body so the opposite elbow comes to meet it. Repeat.
  • How about a variety of exercises i.e. running in place, push-ups, sit-ups, using some type of stepping platform etc -- Have fun... :)
  • live near a pool? swim sprints. or take up some kind of court sport (like squash or something). if you know someone thats a member of a gym, they can usually book out a court for free, meaning you can use it for free with them for no charge.
  • aerobics 1. 2. 3. 4. 1. 2. 3. 4.
  • Jump rope is good answer! Cheap, too. Little tiny trampoline thingy -- but, go to garage sale thrift store, get treadmill is easy. My treadmill I got for free from bored purchaser. That happens a lot. Other answer: Dancing, dancercise is also GREAT. Tai Bo workout tape.
  • dancing.....put some music on and go nuts
  • You can run up and down stairs in your home (if you have them). Or, you might try something else during these coming winter months. Sure you might not be able to afford a gym membership or an expensive piece of equipment like a treadmill, but odds are you, like most people, have a TV and vcr/dvd player of some sort. Buy an aerobics tape/dvd and go to town! It might not be the running you so love to do, but it would probably be a wee bit hard running laps around your living room :)
  • Wow, where do you live that its cold already?
