Help answer this question below.
My answer: Ronnie Wood
1) Bill Wyman
"Always on the outside, it was said that he never really "joined" the band after thirty years."
"In the 1980s, distance grew between the other band members and Wyman due to, amongst other things, the Mandy Smith affair (see below). After having contributed to the album Steel Wheels (1989), he decided he had had enough of it, but took some time to finalise his decision to retire. The Stones regretted his leaving but did not seem too weakened by it."

2) "Following Mick Taylor's departure from the Rolling Stones in December 1974, Wood performed with the group on its 1975 Tour of the Americas, then contributed to its 1976 album Black and Blue, before being ultimately announced as Taylor's replacement. Wood would become a major contributor to the band during the next three decades."

3) The original Rolling Stones would not have been the same without Bill Wyman. But it seems that he did not really "joined" the band.
Ronnie Wood was not there from the beginning and he was famous before being a Rolling Stone. He has been a major contributor to the band.
G'day Mawgan,
Thank you for your question.
They both are. Ronnie Wood has been a member since 1975. Bill Wyman was a member for 31 years. They both have a long history with the band.
Regards
No question about it, Bill Wyman, along with Charlie Watts, was the backbone of the Rolling Stones. I never thought of Ron Wood as a "real" Stone.
Some one might play bass for the rolling stones but there will never be another bass player for the stones bill Wyman has that seat for life, and as for ronny wood he as been a rolling stone for about 13-14 years though he may have been active for the rolling stones for all of these years he just got his memebership a few years ago
Bill Wyman is an outstanding bass player, with a
chemical liaison with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and, of course, drummer Charlie Watts. Ronnie is like a
mirror image of Keith, not properly another Rolling Stone.
Ronnie is still there, Bill is not. QED.
The Rolling Stones single Honky Tonk Women,(uk version) my copy says honky tonk womAn, is there a reason for this or back ground, thankyou.
