No. Species are not standing in some long queue, waiting for our tickets to be punched. Factors that cause the extinction of one species do not necessarily cause the extinction of another. They can even cause that species to thrive. Humans don't require the earth's biodiversity to survive. The majority of species could become extinct and we would be just fine.
