I booked a flight to Lousiana last week and it leaves on Nov 9. What does confirming a flight mean? When I booked the ticket does that mean it is confirmed now or do i have to do something special to confirm and if so how do i do that?

G'day Matthew1989, Thank you for your question. Sometimes airlines change their schedules so the flights will have to be confirmed. They might do that through an e-mail. You can confirm them by contacting the airline by contacting them and asking if the tickets have been confirmed. Regards

as someone who has been a travel consultant for years, I know that sometimes the airlines have schedule changes. and, sometimes, weather or mechanical issues come up as well that will delay a flight. call the airline and tell them you wish to confirm that your flight is still going as scheduled. did you book online or over the phone? if there is a last minute delay, the airline will contact you, too...it's usually a recorded message. or you may even get an email. call the night before you travel.
