I have two examples but unfortunately they are both second or third hand. One was a man who was told by a woman that his body odour was attractive (after a hard day's work) and the other was a bloke who always seemed to attract women when he was drunk just after he had thrown up (Yuck, don't ask me how that works!). This latter bloke didn't notice the effect till after his mates pointed it out to him.

I actually kind of liked it whe Jay would come home and smell like he's been working so long as it wasn't with a feed additive for cattle called Bovotech. Then he had to hit he shower first. He never stank he just smelled manly to me.

If a man smell good..normally showered and with a nice cologne..that is more attractive than body odor. Dont feel so attracted with guys w/ body odor

its the hormones released through teh sweat. women ddo it to. pheromones attract and arouse men through sent, its very common in the animal kingdom as well as with humans

I think this a science vs social conditioning argument. Someone feel free to prove me wrong as I don't want to do the due diligence and provide links but if I remember correctly studies have shown time and time again that natural odor is more arousing and contributes more to desirability than cologne. That being said when I go out to bars and the like, I'm bathing and splashing on some cologne every time.

I suspect that the odors that cause romantic attraction are so subtle that only our 'adaptive subconscious' detects them. Once the odor reaches the threshold of conscious notice, the effect is lost... Curiously, I read/heard somewhere that women find the smell of Good & Plenty candy quite attractive (Huh?)... http://www.thisistrue.com/the_smell_test_5889.html

Honestly? No. I don't like to smell a sweaty person. Man or woman. I am very sensitive to odors and that has definitely turned me off in the past. Bad breath is another qualifier for no sex.

I am not a woman, but I do know it's been scientifically proven that B.O. is an afrodisiac. It depends on how differant the man is to the woman, genetically speaking. Our B.O. is determined by our genes and our noses are programmed to seek out the B.O. that comes from a prospective mate that is the most genetically differant from ourselves (to encourage genetic diversity). There was a documentary made a few years ago where 6 women had to wear the same shirt non-stop for three days. Then they bought Gene Schalitz in to do a blind smell-test and rank the shirts according to which he thought smelled the nicest. Surprisingly, he ranked them all in perfect order, with the woman most genetically similar to him smelling the least pleasant, and the woman who was most genetically differant to him smelling the most pleasant.
