Do men prefer long hair or short hair on woman?

Most men love long hair on women. Maybe it's only that it tends to accentuate the difference between us that makes that a fact, but I've met few men in my life that actually 'prefer' short hair. That's not to say that men don't like short hair, but only that most prefer it long. Just for myself, I have to say I also have a preference for long, flowing, female locks, but I have met women who really look much sexier with short hair and are just cute as buttons with their hair that way, so nothing is written in stone. I'm probably going to get slammed for this answer, but I'm trying to be honest.

Men and women both like long hair. And the reason why is because there is no need for the hair to be shorten. It is natural so to speak. What I mean is that we all grow hair and it's not going to stop. Right? Well if your hair is long that says to the other sex that were you come from you can allow it to be long. Just like fat people in the "Olden' days". People looked to them as beautiful because they come from a place where they can eat.

Depends who's wearing it. For instance, Demi Moore looks absolutely fabulous in short hair. Wish she'd go short again.

I've had long hair for a long time, (female). Recently I just had it cut off to a short, pixie-type cut. I work in a large office, and instantly people have been crawling out the woodwork, making special trips to my office to look at my hair and mention how great it looks. Men and woman alike. Most of the men have even made some 'that's so sexy' type comments. So for you mwen who have answered LONG only, you are not speaking for all men and you shouldn't assume to do so. Everyone is different.

Being from the islands, I grew up with girls having long hair. I feel the longer the better, the more attractive. However, my wife has short hair.

it depends on the person, I think longer straight hair suits some girls (thats my favourite i guess) but then shorter styled hair can also be quite cute and will suit other girls.

I loved my wifes beautiful red hair, she got it cut short and I find her just as attractive, so I guess its either way for me. The way it is some women look better with long hair and vice versa.

I suppose it all depends on where on your body the hair is located. I doubt there are many men who would prefer long hair on a woman's face or arms.

I prefer medium to long or even extra long hair on women. It makes them more feminine to me.

Depends on girls height, if short girl has long hairs it will be ugly, if a tall girl has short hairs, it will also look bad, mediem is better. or long on tall girls, short on short girls, choice is yours and your boyfriend.

On myself? I'm just happy with what is still there. I'd be happier if there was more of it and less of what there is wasn't gray. On ladies? Longer, definitely.

In general straight men fall for longish. It's basic sociobiology; similar to men loving boobs on a woman. During evolution, men needed only minutes to reproduce, but women needed at least 1-2 years of good health to give offspring. Untill about a century ago, the only reason for short/bald were serious health issues. (Hair doesn't fall out when sneezing...) So natural selection caused men to lean towards long or longish on women. And in reply nature made women grow it out even 30% longer than men (for the sole reason to lure them...) So at least during the mating game women benefit from long; it's up to her whether she wants to use it. Needless to say, women themselves and gay men are immune to a womans sex-appeal, so they have a more objective point of view (face shape and such..). I hope this answers your question :-)
