doing that will determine if there is a drain on the battery, for example if it lights up very dim it may be okay simply because cars usually have something on all the time like a radio clock for example. Now if it lights up very bright there is a drain on the battery (which will cause the car to not start after a period of time, due to the drain) a way to test it(assuming it has a drain)(testlight on) is hook up the connections and have someone watch the testlight, while you pull fuses one by one, as you pull fuses the fuse powering the system (ac, radio, dome light, etc.) will cause the light to either go out or at least get dimmer, so now you have found the drain on the battery. then you have to address the drain seperatly. I once had a bmw come into our shop with a customer complaining the car was dead every morning after testing for a drain I found the trunk light was staying on after you shut the trunk, i fixed that and problem solved. good luck finding the drain on the battery!
