Why would you chew amitriptyline?
This is a SERIOUS drug and should be taken exactly as prescribed. Unless instructed to chew the tablets, do not chew them. You can alter the absorbtion rate.
There can be some nasty side effects to this drug and nastier symptoms of overdose. Google it and read the information.
I used to take small doses of it until I began to have hallucinations. Then I was told that it is one of the things that do happen on occasion. Be careful.
